The Give a Breath 5K is Canada’s premier fundraising event dedicated to supporting the lung cancer community.
 
Funds raised through the event are used to advance awareness & advocacy efforts, fuel investigative studies, provide support & education, and get much-needed resources into the hands of those that need them.

Give a Breath 5K held its first run/walk in 2019 in Edmonton, Alberta. It started with a desire and commitment that Hosts and
Founders Tim Monds and family, along with their family and friends, had to increase awareness of the impact of lung cancer on
Canadians, and to raise much-needed funds for the lung cancer community.
 
In 2023, Give a Breath 5K went national, with events in Edmonton, Toronto and Vancouver, as well as a virtual component.
 
The efforts of the Monds family, our other regional hosts, Clare & Rubin Ford, and Bev Moir & Ron Foreman,
and everyone thatparticipates continue to have an immeasurable impact in raising awareness and
giving hope to the thousands of Canadians living with lung cancer.
